Hi, Just wondering if you can shed some light on how you approached integrating newton dynamics into your engine. There seems to be a distinct lack of directx to newton examples and tutorials on the net.

The Game is looking sweet by the way, very impressed.
cheers

First off glad you like the way the game is looking..

Also I don't recall off the top of my head but I thought all the Newton samples used DirectX?

Anyways Newton is probably one of the easier physics libs to use because it aligns it's matrices the same way DirectX does, I think ODE and Tokamak use the OpenGL way...I could be mistaken though it's been years since I've used OpenGL or anything but Newton.

You can just call the NewtonBodyGetMatrix() function and then plug it right into your rendering system.

Are there any particular areas you're having trouble with? If you have any more questions just lemme know.

He replied, "I just kind of optimized for game play."

from what i can see in the samples the code is opengl, that was the main stumbling block. but thanks for the matrix advice that clears a lot up.

guess its time to try to convert the samples to dx.
cheers and good luck
