Hah, technically it's the procedural farmland system that sits ontop of the geo-mipmapping system that I wrote in one night. xD

its amazing what you can do in one night with stuff when you eather have nothing else to do or "code bashing" (brainstorming with code snipets)

i do that alot with my SL work 0.o

how dose it work if you mind me asking/allowed to answer and or reveal?
random generation from a set of guidelines, like (if these are created or in range compile and create this)

Is you sky a cube map or something else. Your clouds look like they are on a flat plane. So do you have clouds rendered + a skybox? I think I remember now that you said its just a skybox.

Check my new work out. I'm finally not being lazy this year. I'm going to mess with terrain a bit longer and I finally made a good leaf texture for my trees. I figured out how to make them finally partially by accident.

Yea this sky is just a Skybox - I've implemented 10+ types of skies over the years, this one is the best bang for the buck - but obviously it can be visually improved. I've got one of my artists to send me a new skydome system + textures they look great. I'll implement it soon, though I'll probably have to tweak every aspect of the sky to make the new system look cool, so I'm sort of holding off to work on more important things. I can't post details but I have weekly meetings with my publisher (since they are funding the project) and we are handling everything.

Yea a skydome isnt going to do much. A simple effect I did long ago was put a flat plane parallel to the ground with just an alpha could texture and animated the tex coords. That along with a skybox gives it some depth if you dont want to use your old cloud system.

Yes I've done that system and every other system you can imagine.

Here is an image of one of my older systems, layers of dynamic clouds fully dynamic weather transitions, everything

And another example from way back in 2006 era...yet a different weather system...

I can write many more in my sleep.
