or just show you that i can program games by sending in some work i've
done.

After the release of Gang WarI'll be looking to expand Radioactive-Software. At most I'd need 1 extra programmer, and a few talanted artists.

A degree is a plus, but if you can get the job done without one, that's fine too Very Happy

He replied, "I just kind of optimized for game play."

Well I didn't learn any of this from a college. I have many many different books on various topics of game development and programming, and about 8 years under my belt of deticated work. I'm totally self taught, using books and the internet.

I did finish up my junior year at East Carolina University, for Computer Science.....though I didn't really learn much about computer programming, lol. I left that University after I signed the publishing deal for Gang War.

I'd recommend learning the basics yourself before enrolling in a school just to get a taste of what you're in for. Start by learning a programming language, try something easy like a 2D game using Visual Basic, Java, or C# then move on the C++ and try to make a 3d game after you get a few months under your belt.

OMG!! Danny you are the man!

I am a frequent visitor of GameSpy arcade where I have directed many people from there to your website and showed them screenshots of your upcomming game. I want to give you much props and much respect Cool

Dan, are you considering making this(game development) your career, or are there other areas in the field of computer science you are aiming for?

I apologize if the question might be too personal ^^

Thanks a lot for the support buddy! Hopefully I'll be able to bootstrap my company up using this game, but I really do want to make game development my job.

At least I could use this game and it's art/100k lines of code as my resume to get a job somewhere else Smile

Thank you again for the support!

Dan, I've pointed a few friends in the game industry towards your site, your game and your amazing talents. Every one of them has said if you wanted a job, their company would probably give you one in a heartbeat.

So, you know, just in case you decide you don't like making your own decisions... lol.

Hey George, that's good to know! I appreciate it!
